Association of UK Media Librarians PO Box 14254 London SE1 9WL email: Chair of AUKML email: Membership Secretary of AUKML   The Association of UK Media Librarians, AUKML, was formed in 1986 to create links between librarians and information workers in all areas of the media industry. Our members come from newspaper and magazine publishing, broadcasting organisations and academic institutions. Despite our name, we are happy to welcome overseas members. We aim to improve the professional standing of information workers through exchanging knowledge and experience and by organising meetings, events and conferences to keep members up-to-date with emerging techniques in information management. Membership Benefits: Regular meetings to keep you informed of developments in information management for the media industry. Visits to specialist libraries and suppliers. Preferential booking and reduced rates for the AUKML annual conference, with distinguished speakers, stimulating discussion and a lively social programme. Deadline, a quarterly journal discussing new ideas and keeping members informed. Access to a wide range of professional contacts in the media.

Membership Fees Full membership is open to those directly employed in the print and broadcasting industries. Associate (non-voting), membership is open to those with an interest in the work of the Association but not employed in a media organisation. The membership year runs from 1st July to 30th June. Reduced rates are available for those joining after 31st December.
