Jorvik Viking Museum
Meet in reception at 7.45pm. A coach will take you to a private evening viewing at the Jorvik Viking Museum in the city's Coppergate area. Here we will enjoy a reception courtesy of sponsor LexisNexis Butterworths.

After a welcome drink you will take your seat on this ride back in time from 2004 York to 948ad and how the city appeared then. The sight and smell of Viking York will greet you on this authentic Viking encounter. Back in 21st century York you can enjoy Viking-themed canapés and drink Viking mead and battleaxe beer served by 'fearsome craftsmen'. With traditional wine and fruit juices provided for those who want to keep a clear head.

Fairfax House
A coach will meet delegates at 18.15pm to take them to Fairfax House for a gala reception courtesy of sponsor The Profile Group.

Enjoy a drinks reception in the prestigious Red Saloon after a connoisseur-guided tour of the richly decorated Georgian house. Peek in the antique furniture's secret drawers and discover what life was like for the Fairfax family in the 1800's in York.

Fairfax House is described as a classic architectural masterpiece of its age and is most certainly one of the finest town houses in England saved from ruin in the early 80's.

Executive Walk
Meet in reception at 11.00am for a guided tour by the York Executive Guide Company. The bespoke tour is fun and light-hearted and is based around a walk through the old city.

House of Laymen
Those who have attended the walk will be directed to the House of Laymen. Or meet in reception at 11.50am to take the short walk from the Monkbar hotel to the House of Laymen.

Dialog has kindly sponsored lunch in the finely timbered House of Laymen room of St Williams College part of the Minster buildings. Built in 1461 and situated adjacent to the Minster this beautiful medieval building was named after William Fitzherbert, Archbishop of York in 1154 (www.yorkminster.org) before lunch Jacky Berry of TFPL will give a talk on how information professionals can maximise and diversify their skills.
