Jorvik Viking Museum After a welcome drink you will take your seat on this ride back in time from 2004 York to 948ad and how the city appeared then. The sight and smell of Viking York will greet you on this authentic Viking encounter. Back in 21st century York you can enjoy Viking-themed canapés and drink Viking mead and battleaxe beer served by 'fearsome craftsmen'. With traditional wine and fruit juices provided for those who want to keep a clear head. Fairfax House Enjoy a drinks reception in the prestigious Red Saloon after a connoisseur-guided tour of the richly decorated Georgian house. Peek in the antique furniture's secret drawers and discover what life was like for the Fairfax family in the 1800's in York. Fairfax House is described as a classic architectural masterpiece of its age and is most certainly one of the finest town houses in England saved from ruin in the early 80's.
