The silent auction at last years conference was highly successful and raised over £200 which went towards funding a sponsored place at the conference. Please bring along with you to the conference any items from your company that you can obtain free from the Marketing or PR department (if you have one). Suggestions for items are: Pens, mugs, T Shirts, publication subscriptions, special collector editions, postcards, (signed?) cartoons, books, photos, tickets, events, weekend breaks. If you are not coming to the conference, you may still like to donate something. Items are displayed together with a suggested small starting bid on each item. Bid forms are attached to the items. The items go to the highest bidder on the form at a specified time. Do not pay for items. If you need tips, approach your marketing people by explaining: "The AUKML conference is running a fund raising auction. All of the items being sold are coming from media organisations (list competitors etc) and that the AUKML would welcome a donation from your company. The emphasis is on fun not money making." |
