To join the AUKML list, send a message to majordomo@bton.ac.uk Leave the header blank and enter as text in the body: Example: subscribe aukml jo.blogs@dailypress.co.uk If you ever want to remove yourself from the mailing list, you can send mail to majordomo@bton.ac.uk with the following command in the body of your email message: unsubscribe aukml If you want to post a message to the list, e-mail aukml@bton.ac.uk If you ever need to get in contact with the owner of the list, (if you have trouble unsubscribing, or have questions about the list itself) send email to owner-aukml@brighton.ac.uk This is the general rule for most mailing lists when you need to contact a human. If you experience technical problems signing up or posting to the AUKML list, please email service.admin@brighton.ac.uk AUKML can also be contacted by mail at: Association of UK Media Librarians, PO Box 14254, London SE1 9WL To join the SLA News Division list send a message to listproc@listserv.oit.unc.edu Leave the subject line blank and enter as text in the body: SUBSCRIBE NewsLib firstname lastname Note that you must delete all other characters from the message (such as your signature file) before sending the email. Also, note that you only have to add your name to the "subscribe" request line; you don't have to include your email address. The listprocessor checks your return email address and then links that to the NewsLib list of subscribers (nearly 1,000 now) along with your name.
